Hi Visionary,

After almost two decades of building businesses and helping entrepreneurs generate $280M+ in client results, I've learned something most people get backwards about visioning.

We're in that interesting space right now, mid-November, between gratitude for what was and anticipation for what's coming.

You can feel it, can't you? I know I do.

That subtle pull toward 2026. That quiet wondering about what next year could hold.

Most people will ignore this feeling until December 31st, when they'll panic and create a vision that feels more like an obligation than an invitation.

Your 2026 vision isn't something you need to create.

It's already calling you.

The question is whether you're listening.

Why Most Visioning Fails

Let me tell you what typically happens:

You wait until the last week of December. Maybe you grab a glass of wine and a journal during the final days of your holiday break. You think about what you "should" accomplish. You look at what other successful women are doing and reverse-engineer their goals into your life.

You set targets for revenue, weight loss, content creation, client acquisition, all disconnected from your actual life, your actual capacity, your actual desires.

January 1st arrives and you're ON IT. Motivated. Committed. Ready.

By February? You're exhausted. Resentful. Wondering why these goals feel like a heavy coat you're forced to wear in 100 degrees in the middle of summer instead of a life you're excited to live.

The reason: You tried to manufacture a vision instead of recognizing the one that was already calling you.

The cost of this approach is way more than another failed resolution. It's another year of "I should" instead of "I want." Another 365 days of pushing toward someone else's definition of success while your soul whispers,

"But what about what I actually desire?"

What Vision Actually Is (And Where Yours Is Hiding)

Let me be clear about something: Your 2026 vision isn't hiding in a goal-setting workshop, although I just hosted a fabulous one for the women in my community this week. And is certainly not in the latest productivity planner or in someone's $20,000 mastermind about quantum-leaping into your future self.

Vision is recognition, not creation.

It's already there.

  • In the projects that keep you up thinking joyfully at 11pm.

  • In the conversations that make you lean forward with excitement.

  • In the version of yourself you catch glimpses of when you're fully in your zone.

  • In that persistent "someday" that keeps showing up as "maybe soon."

I learned this in my own business years ago. I kept trying to force myself into other people's models of success, their launch strategies, their content calendars, their revenue goals. And I was miserable. Making money, yes.

My real vision didn't announce itself in a goal-setting session. It whispered to me in quiet moments when I'd think, "What if I could build something that felt as good as it performed? What if revenue and rest weren't enemies?"

That whisper became Joyful Ambition™. That whisper became the methodology that's now helped women scale their businesses without burning out. That whisper became $280M+ in client results built on alignment, not anxiety.

Your 2026 vision is already whispering too.

It's in the moments when you catch yourself thinking "what if..." It's in the dreams that feel too big to say out loud. It's in the life you glimpse when you're not performing, proving, or pushing.

The women I work with who create extraordinary years don't have more clarity than you.

They trust the whispers sooner.

Permission to Vision Differently

You've been taught that visioning requires certainty. That you need to know precisely what you want and exactly how to get there before you can move forward.

But here's what the research confirms: studies guided by self-determination theory have found that intrinsic motivation, pursuing activities "for their own sake," or for their inherent interest and enjoyment, predicts enhanced learning, performance, creativity, optimal development and psychological wellness PubMed CentralScienceDirect.

In other words, the goals that actually stick, the visions that actually transform your business, aren't the ones you force yourself to care about because they look good on paper. They're the ones that light you up from the inside. The ones you'd pursue even if no one was watching.

Here's how you can plan 2026 based on real research:

Permission #1: Your 2026 doesn't have to look like anyone else's playbook.

One of the most powerful transformations I witnessed this year came from a client who stopped trying to build the "scalable" business everyone said she should have. She wanted boutique. She wanted intimate. She wanted to work with 12 perfect-fit clients instead of 200 good-enough ones.

  1. Everyone told her she was thinking too small.

  2. She tripled her revenue and cut her hours in half.

  3. Your vision doesn't need to make sense to anyone but you.

Permission #2: You can want more AND want ease.

I talk about both/and a lot when it comes to what I want in life. This is the heart of Joyful Ambition™. You don't have to choose between building something big and building something sustainable. Between hitting ambitious targets and honoring your actual life.

Your 2026 can include:

  • $100K+ quarters AND regular Fridays off

  • Thought leadership AND time with your family

  • Expansion AND ease

The women who try to tell you otherwise are either lying about their exhaustion or haven't figured out how to build differently yet.

Permission #3: Your vision can change as you change.

You're allowed to want something different in March than you wanted in January. You're allowed to evolve. To pivot. To realize halfway through the year that your vision is calling you in a new direction.

Commitment to growth doesn't mean rigid adherence to a plan you made before you had new information about who you're becoming.

What's Actually Calling You Right Now?

So here's what I want you to do this week, not as homework but as curiosity: Notice what 2026 is already showing you.

When you imagine yourself next December, or one year from now, what makes you smile? Not what should make you smile. What actually does?

  • Is it financial freedom that lets you make decisions without checking your bank account first?

  • Is it thought leadership that has people seeking your specific expertise? Is it spaciousness in your calendar that lets you say yes to life, not just work?

What would you need to believe about yourself to pursue it?

And here's the bigger question: What's one thing 2026-you will do regularly that 2025-you is still afraid of?

That's where your vision lives. In the space between who you are and who you're becoming.

The Bridge From Here to There

Next week, I'm sending you something different for Thanksgiving, a celebration of the women who've shaped this community and this year.

Because gratitude for what is and vision for what's coming aren't separate practices.

They're two sides of the same coin.

You can't build an extraordinary 2026 from resentment about 2025.

You can only build it from recognizing what you've already created and from curiosity about what's calling you next.

The women who create extraordinary years don't wait for complete clarity before taking action. They take action while listening for clarity.

Your 2026 vision is already here.

It's in the whispers you've been ignoring.

In the dreams you've been dismissing as "someday."

In the version of yourself you keep glimpsing.

The only question is whether you're ready to listen and take action.

To your joyful vision,

Over the next year, Roku predicts that 100% of the streaming audience will see ads. For growth marketers in 2026, CTV will remain an important “safe space” as AI creates widespread disruption in the search and social channels. Plus, easier access to self-serve CTV ad buying tools and targeting options will lead to a surge in locally-targeted streaming campaigns.
