Hi Visionary,

Three weeks ago I wrote about the yes you give while something in you goes quiet.

I have my own version, and it cost me an entire year.

In 2022, I built Pretty Damn Ambitious for one woman. She was in her forties, at least a decade of corporate behind her, the one who built the thing and watched it grow under someone else’s name, finally building something that would carry her own. I knew what her mornings felt like because I had lived them, jaw tight before the alarm, bracing for another day of being everyone’s competent person.

A woman whom I trusted advised me that my approach was too narrow. It's better to widen your scope and consider how many more women you could serve.

Every word of it was kind, reasonable, offered with real care. I nodded. And something in me went very still, the way a room does when the air conditioning turns off and you only notice the sound by its absence.

I didn't pause long enough to find out what the quiet meant; instead, I said yeah, "you're probably right" and took the advice.
