Hi Visionary,

I learned something a while ago that I’m sharing in more detail today.

I protect my Fridays, and I keep Sundays sacred. Mondays are CEO days, strategic thinking only, nothing client-facing.

That is the rule. I set it years ago and I still break it.

A deadline moves. Something lands that feels urgent. I tell myself it is only this once; I will work this one Friday, and then the boundary I built to protect my own capacity has a hole in it that I put there.

What's fascinating is that on the Fridays I actually hold my own boundary, the expansion never shows up in my calendar. It shows up in my thinking. Ideas I would have walked past. Direction instead of triage.

Which told me something I had backward for a long time. The thing I was protecting was never the day.

I went deep on this in Ep. 10, Failure + Ambition; have a listen below.
