My heart sank. Because I know this story well, because I used to do it too; and I've seen this exact scenario play out hundreds of times over my 17 years in business.

"Rachel," I said gently, "which three of these will move you closest to a $75K quarter?"

Long pause. "Well... I mean... they're all important," she said.
